This powerful neodymium block magnet (40 x 20 x 10 mm) features a countersink hole (5.5/10.5 mm) , making it easy to mount with a flat-head screw. The Z pole (or south pole) is on the visible side, making this magnet ideal for applications where polarity is important – for example, when combining multiple magnets.
Thanks to its strong magnetic force, this magnet is perfect for both technical applications and creative projects where reliability and precise attachment are required.
Features:
Dimensions: 40 x 20 x 10 mm
Material: Neodymium (NdFeB), grade N45
Countersink hole: 5.5 mm inside / 10.5 mm outside (suitable for flat head screws)
Polarity: Z-pole on the visible side
Magnetic force: very strong – suitable for medium to heavy loads
Mounting: easy mounting with one screw
Finish: Nickel plated (corrosion protection)
Applications:
Industrial and technical installations
Interior and furniture construction
Creative constructions and DIY projects
Systems where pole orientation (Z/N) is essential
Caution: Neodymium magnets are very powerful – keep them away from electronic equipment and small children.
Volgens de door de fabrikant verstrekte conformiteitsverklaringen voldoet dit product aan de actuele Europese RoHS-richtlijn en REACH-verordening.

Neodymium magnets are very powerful and can bounce off each other and/or iron objects at high speed. The force increases as the magnet gets larger, which also increases the risk of breakage. Two of the larger magnets in our range are powerful enough to break fingers or at least cause a few large blisters.
Therefore, wear work gloves and keep magnets away from children. Also, keep Neodymium (NdFeB) magnets at a safe distance from people with pacemakers. This also applies to electronic devices and payment cards.
Neodymium magnets are still the most powerful magnets available today. Our super-strong magnets also remain magnetic virtually indefinitely, provided they are not exposed to the maximum operating temperature or are used with opposite poles.
The letters and numbers in the material coding have the following meaning: The N stands for Neodymium, the subsequent digits indicate the maximum magnetic energy expressed in MgOe. If there are no further letters after this, the magnet can be used up to 80 degrees Celsius.
If there are still letters behind it, it can reach a higher temperature.
We indicate adhesive force in grams or kilograms because this appeals to more people than Newton. The indicated force is measured perpendicular to the magnet. The adhesive force is the force required to pull a smooth, flat steel object (ST37) at least 10 millimeters thick from the magnet in question.
This force quickly diminishes when, for example, there's a gap or layer of paint between the magnet and the object. Even half a millimeter can reduce the force by half. A steel alloy or a rough surface also significantly reduces the holding force.
As mentioned, the direction of the adhesive force is perpendicular to the magnet, but the shear force is much smaller and also depends on the friction between the magnet and the object.
